How much were you drinking and what problems was it causing? *
On average I was drinking 4 to 5 days per week with some days being one glass of wine or a beer and others significantly more depending on the day of the week or the scenario.
The problems caused by alcohol included:
Waking up with a headache/hangover
Strain on my relationships with my children and wife
What was the key reason you wanted to change … what motivated you? *
The main reason I wanted to change my behavior with alcohol was that I felt it was negatively affecting my health.
I was motivated by my wife who began working with Sandra before I did. I saw firsthand the positive changes in her life along with home much healthier she felt/appeared.
Were you sceptical this method would work for you? *
I think it helped seeing my wife have the success she did prior to me starting. So I would say I was confident it would work for me as well.
What difference has being alcohol free made to your life? *
I feel amazing. I sleep better. I eat healthier. I have more focus at work. I also feel that it has made me a better husband and father. I am less likely to get upset or irritated by something because I can analyze the situation with a clear head before reacting or making a decision. All around I feel like I am a better man.
What would you say to someone worried about their drinking thinking of working with me? *
I would tell them they would not regret starting the program!
The modules are very helpful. It is much easier to quit something when the curtain is pulled back and you can clearly see why so many people are trapped by alcohol. It is a poison and a drug that has been pushed on us by societal pressures and companies that benefit from our consumption. Once you see alcohol for what it is you will be glad you have regained control.
